Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
